The short version
This site sets no cookies unless you say yes. If you do, Google Analytics counts visits so we can see what people read. No ads, no selling data, no tracking you across other sites. You can change your mind at any time.
Who runs this site
tehtin.com is run by tehtin, a small games collective. We decide what is collected here and why. For anything about your data, write to hello@tehtin.com.
Cookies
The first time you visit, we ask whether we can count your visit. Until you answer yes, no cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google.
If you say yes, Google Analytics sets these cookies on tehtin.com:

Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage (under tehtin-consent), so we do not ask on every page. It is not a cookie and it is never sent to us or anyone else.
Changing your mind
Use cookie settings at the bottom of any page to answer again. If you switch from yes to no, we delete the Google Analytics cookies straight away. Clearing this site's data in your browser does the same and means we will ask again next time.
What we count
Only if you said yes, Google Analytics records:
- which pages you view, when, and for how long;
- the site or link that brought you here;
- your device type, browser, screen size and language;
- your rough location (country and city), worked out from your IP address.
Google Analytics does not store your IP address. We see totals and trends in reports, not named people, and we never try to work out who you are. We have switched off advertising storage and ad personalisation, so this data is not used to show you ads.
Google processes this data for us as our processor, and may handle it on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under its standard contractual clauses and data protection terms. Google keeps it for the retention period set in our account, no longer than 14 months. Google explains how it uses data from sites like this one at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Our reason for using this data is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time through cookie settings.
Fonts, images and the 3D scene
Fonts, images and the 3D models on the home page are served from this site, so loading them does not send your details to anyone else. Google Analytics is the only thing that ever loads from another site, and only after you say yes.
Server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps short-lived request logs to run and protect the service. We do not use them to identify anyone.
Links out
Links to Steam and to our social accounts take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
If you write to hello@tehtin.com, we keep the email so we can reply. Ask and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@tehtin.com and we will answer within a month. Because we only see Google Analytics data in totals, we may not be able to find yours, but you can always stop it being collected through cookie settings. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes
If what we collect changes, we will update this note and its date, and ask about cookies again where it matters.
